2) Ask to see testimonials from previous clients. See examples here. If they cannot show you good testimonials then don't use them.

3) Check out their website. If it's not professional or looks out of date, think about using someone else.

4) Clearly specify what you need doing. Don't rely on doing this verbally. Write down your expectations and the exact fencing work you need.

5) Get a written quote for everything you need doing. Don't accept a blanket quote. Get everything itemised out.

6) Arrange to meet with the fencing installer. If they turn up late or are unprofessional, think about using someone else.

7) Ask if the fencing installers has insurance and the proper qualifications to operate machinery such as chain saws etc.

8) Ask questions to see how much the fencing installer knows. Most fencing installers will have a good basic knowledge and be able to fill in with expertise when needed.
